How Has Anime Helped You?

Published April 15, 2016 by Shay Taree

Many of us have different reasons for watching anime, enjoying anime, and just overall making anime one of of favorite pastimes. But now I wonder if anime has ever helped any of you.
I can honestly say that anime has definitely helped me in quite a few ways. Anime has definitely helped me with my confidence and helping me to be more comfortable with myself. Plus anime has helped me to deal with the stresses of everyday life.

It’s a great way for me to be able to step away from reality and be able to relax after a long day.

But as for the confidence part it’s mostly because of the characters that I’ve grown to love and wanting to be like them. Or just simply because I take the little things from each character that I’ve grown to love.

That is honestly how anime has helped me and I think will continue to help me. But how about the rest of you? How has anime helped you? Has it helped you to become a better person? Has is helped you to be more comfortable with yourself? Or well just about anything.

Comment down below and let me know! I can’t wait to read them!

  • Anime has definitely helped me a lot – 2013 was probably when I reached my highest point when it comes to anime. A lot of good and bad things have happened that year, but anime definitely helped me think of something else for a while and let my mind wander. It also kind of shaped me to the person I am right now.
Nice post, you picked a very interesting topic 🙂

  • This is a pretty neat question. Anime helped me with understanding the struggles of life and social issues. Anime like Naruto taught me the dangers and aftermath of war. It shows the consequences of people fighting and how it affects innocent people. Another anime that impacted me a lot was Clannad. The anime showed me how important it is to have family.

  • Anime mostly has helped me deal with stress in life. It’s more than just an escape, it’s like a sanctuary. Whether I’m watching anime, reading manga, listening to anime opening/ending songs, etc. they all keep me sane by allowing my imagination to run wild in a more efficient way. Anime also helped me be more understanding of others and about different aspects of life, from war to business I learn a little bit more about each one every time.

  • If you were talking about real help, Yowamushi Pedal (an anime about bicycle road race) helped me to understand the right way of cycling. I started cycling again after watching Yowamushi Pedal. I learnt my mistake on the past from that anime before I jumped into more sources about cycling.
