So I know that this is a topic that many people have their own opinions about and I thought that I would share mine. That topic is sub vs dub.
I know that many people prefer the sub since they can hear the original
Japanese voices and they don’t mind reading the subtitles
Then you have those that prefer the dub because they don’t want to read the subtitles and they don’t mind the dub voices.
Well for me I kind of like both depending on the mood I’m in and the anime that I’m trying to watch. Some anime I do prefer the subtitles version since it may have been the version that I’ve seen first and I’m used to the Japanese voices. Also it could be that there isn’t a dub available for that specific show.
Now when it comes to dubbed shows I do like them for a few different reasons. One reason is that if it’s an older show where I watched the dub first for example Sailor Moon then I’m used to the dub voices so when I hear the original Japanese I’m not used to it. Another reason is that I don’t feel like reading the subtitles and just want to listen and pay attention to the show. The last reason for me is also that I may look up who is doing the voices in the dub and decide that it could be good especially if I recognize any of the voice actors names.
But there is my opinion on sub vs dub. I don’t think one is better than the other. I think that they are both great and that it’s definitely up to the viewer. But I would love to know everyone else’s opinion. Like always comment down below and I will definitely answer back.
Hello fellow anime watchers and fanfiction readers! Today is of course Friday and that means it’s the day that I post a fanfic that hopefully many of you will enjoy. Like always I did not write this fanfic but I have read it. I’m just to share the word about this awesome fanfic so enjoy.
Today I’m posting a Fruits Basket fanfic and the pairing is Tohru and Yuki. While they aren’t the actually pairing in the anime and the manga I still do like them as a couple. So I will leave all the information down below and the link to the story will be in the title.
Synopsis: Tohru has a problem that requires her to get pregnant now. She chose Yuki to be the father of her child. Now that that problem is out of the way she’s on for the roller coaster ride of bearing a child as a woman on sixteen years old.
Alright so there is all the info so please enjoy and let me know what you think about fanfiction Friday’s. Also there is a sequel to this fanfic but it’s not finished yet. But still enjoy!
So this topic is one that can cause some controversy I guess and it’s about illegally downloading or streaming anime. Now I can already see the looks that many people have on their faces but I think that it is an interesting topic.
Now for me I before did illegally stream my anime due to various reasons. Mostly the reason was that I couldn’t find the anime I wanted to watch on the legal sites so I went there and plus I didn’t know what it was doing to the industry. It wasn’t until I did my research that I realized this.
Now I know that some may not agree with me or may have their own reasons for doing what they do and that’s fine. But this was my reason and now I try my best not to illegally stream my anime.
There are several different sites to stream anime legally and they are: Netflix, Hulu Plus, Crackle, Anime News Network, Funimation’s website, Crunchyroll, and Daisuki. Now I know that a majority of these websites require a membership but some of these also don’t. I know that before I could get a subscription to Funimation and Crunchyroll I would still watch series that had previously aired.
Now I can definitely say that the legal sites and companies like Funimation are doing a great job of getting anime to us quickly. Even by now dubbing an episode fairly quickly instead of you having to wait 6 months to a year for the dub to come out.
But let me know what you all think about this topic. Just comment down below and like always I will answer back.
Alright so we finally got past what seemed like to me a long game between Akashi and Midorima. While it was exciting it felt good to get to the other matches during the tournament.
This new match was between Kise’s team and the Kuroko’s team. It was really cool to watch this match since they haven’t really faced each other in a match since a practice game where Serien beat Kise’s team.
Well you could definitely tell that Kise was ready to get this game underway since the look in his eye showed that he was ready.
Kise immediately showed that he was ready by using the copied moves the Generation of Miracles and doing the impossible such as stopping Kuroko’s Phantom Shot. Which Murisakibara couldn’t even do.
Also he ended up even using Akashi’s emperor eye on Kagami! Talk about a wow moment!
But overall I can’t wait until the next episode and I give this episode a 8/10. An 8 mostly due to the flash back at the beginning which was boring but after that it was completely action until the end.
If you saw this weeks episode leave your comments below and if you didn’t then still leave your comments below. I would love to hear all comments.
So today’s post is on an anime app that I’ve actually been using for quite a few years now and I think that others would also enjoy it.
It’s called Anime Amino and it’s basically a social network for anime fans.
It’s where anime fans can post about anything and everything that is anime related. There are chat rooms, forums, messages, and also opinion polls. It’s just an overall fun app.
I got this app since quite a few of my friends weren’t into anime and I wanted to find other people who were as interested in anime like I was. I’ve definitely made a lot of friends and I’ve also came across anime’s that I didn’t know about.
So if your looking for an app where you can meet more anime fans, make friends, find out about more anime shows, or find out about new shows then definitely download this app.
It’s definitely available in the App Store for iPhone. So far as I know it’s not available for android but I may be wrong. There also quite a few amino apps on different topics so you can definitely check those out as well.
Alright so that’s my post on anime amino. Let me know if any of you have this app and what you think of it and if you don’t let me know what you think of the concept. So leave a comment down below.
So this weeks episode of Sailor Moon Crystal had us meeting another one of the Spectre Sisters. This time we meet Berthier and she and the Black Moon Clan are after Ami.
Now this episode and this arc overall I’m really enjoying since it’s finally letting us get to know all of the scouts individually which we didn’t get during the first arc. With this episode we got to know a little bit more about Ami and her past concerning her parents. We also got to know about what one of her fears are which was definitely good to see.
I will definitely say that the cutest moment in this series was when Mamoru let Chibiusa rest at his place after he and Luna find her and he is holding her hand.
That was such a sweet moment that was ultimately kind of ruined by what I deem a corny moment. Mamoru and that crazy puppet made me laugh but at the same moment I was cringing.
The most epic moment for me that I really liked was the chess match between Berthier and Ami.
It was cool since there was two mental matches going on. One with the chess game and the other with the mental match the Berthier is playing with Ami.
I would have to definitely give this episode a 9 out of 10. I absolutely loved this episode and can’t wait to see what happens next. But what did everyone else think of this episode? Comment down below and let me know.
Alright so I finished Shōnen Hollywood about a week ago and this was a strange anime to watch overall. I decided to watch this anime because I’ve watched musical anime’s before such as Uta No Prince Sama and La Corda D’Oro. So assumed there would be some similarities as well as differences but I didn’t really enjoy it.
So the gist of the show is about a group of guys that are scouted for various reasons to become basically the remix of a boy band that was around 15 years prior.
At first I was excited about the show but then slowly but surely I started to lose interest and at times get confused. Now there were some enjoyable parts like some of the songs and the funny moments but overall I found the show to be very emotional in parts and not a emotional but an emotional where I was like why is he upset.
The character development of the series was okay because we did get the back story of a few of the characters but it wasn’t enough to get me to have an attachment to them or have my favorite. But it was just enough to keep me invested in the anime a bit longer.
There weren’t many songs in the show overall but the opening song definitely had me nodding my head along so not all was lost. But the background music in the show didn’t catch my ear at all.
Currently the 2nd season is airing and I’m debating watching it once it’s finished so we will see. But I’m leaning on the side of yes just so I can see of it gets better. But as an overall grade I will give this show a C-. While it did have a few enjoyable parts to keep me interested until the end there were definitely parts when my mind started to wander and I was waiting for something more to happen.
If you have seen this series let me know what you thought of it. Also if anyone is currently watching the 2nd season let me know if it’s worth watching. Leave your comment below and like always I will always answer.
